Setting
Stone Ocean, set in the year 2011, unfolds primarily within the confines of Green Dolphin Street Prison, located near Port St. Lucie, Florida. This maximum-security correctional facility serves as the central stage for the main character’s harrowing experiences and daring adventures as she endeavors to prove her innocence and protect her father.
Plot Overview
The narrative follows the journey of Jolyne Cujoh, the estranged daughter of the renowned Stand user Jotaro Kujo. Wrongfully convicted of a murder she did not commit, Jolyne is handed a severe sentence of fifteen years in Green Dolphin Street Prison. While navigating the brutal realities of incarceration, she awakens to her own latent Stand ability, named Stone Free. This power allows her to transform her body into sentient strings, granting her remarkable versatility and combat capabilities. Jolyne soon uncovers a sinister plot: her father’s Stand abilities and memories have been stolen by a devoted follower of the notorious villain Dio Brando, a scheme aimed at realizing Dio’s ambition for a new world order. Driven by this revelation, Jolyne resolves to take direct action. She must not only survive the perilous environment of the prison, forging crucial alliances with fellow inmates who share her plight, but also confront the insidious conspiracies orchestrated by the prison’s chaplain, Enrico Pucci, who is secretly working to fulfill Dio’s grand, world-altering plan.
