Setting
Blue Exorcist unfolds in a fascinating dual-dimensional world, comprising two distinct realms:

These two dimensions, Assiah and Gehenna, are intrinsically interconnected, existing in a parallel state. However, under normal circumstances, direct contact between them is impossible. The primary means by which demons can breach the veil into Assiah is by possessing living beings, using them as vessels to manifest in the human world.
Plot
The narrative centers on Rin Okumura, a volatile and spirited teenager who discovers a shocking truth about his heritage: he is the illegitimate son of Satan himself. Following the tragic and brutal death of his guardian, Father Shiro Fujimoto, who was killed by Satan during a demonic rampage, Rin is consumed by a burning desire for vengeance. He resolves to become an exorcist, dedicating himself to hunting down and defeating demons, including his own father. To achieve this goal, Rin enrolls at True Cross Academy, a prestigious institution specifically dedicated to training exorcists. His path is fraught with peril, as he must learn to master his inherited demonic powers while simultaneously confronting the demons that threaten humanity and seeking a way to defeat his formidable father.
