Plot Overview
At the heart of Tokyo Revengers is Takemichi Hanagaki, a disheartened 26-year-old part-timer whose life has devolved into a monotonous cycle of regret and gloom. His bleak existence is shattered when he learns of the tragic death of Hinata Tachibana, his ex-girlfriend, a victim caught in the violent crossfire of the notorious Tokyo Manji Gang. In a twist of fate, as Takemichi is violently pushed onto subway tracks the very next day, he finds himself hurtling not to his end, but twelve years into the past – back to the vibrant, albeit tumultuous, year he first dated Hinata. Armed with this extraordinary second chance, Takemichi resolves to rewrite his past, to bravely confront the dangerous underworld of delinquent gangs, and to do everything within his power to avert Hinata’s impending doom and forge a brighter future.
