Plot Summary

InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass begins in the aftermath of a hard-won victory, where InuYasha and his companions believe they have finally defeated their long-standing nemesis, Naraku. Finding a semblance of peace, the group attempts to return to their respective lives. However, this tranquility is shattered with the emergence of a new and formidable threat: Kaguya, a powerful entity inspired by the classic Japanese folktale, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Kaguya harbors a chilling ambition: to plunge the world into an eternal, frozen night.

As Kaguya’s influence begins to spread, InuYasha finds himself compelled to travel to the modern era in search of Kagome, whose unique connection to both worlds is vital. Meanwhile, Kaguya’s loyal minions, Kagura, a minion yearning for her own freedom, and Kanna, a silent and ethereal assistant, actively work to liberate their mistress from her prison, a mystical mirror. Kaguya’s grand plan hinges on the collection of five specific, powerful artifacts, which, once gathered, will grant her absolute control over the world and enable her to cast it into perpetual darkness. As InuYasha, Kagome, and their friends confront Kaguya and her formidable forces, they must navigate a series of escalating challenges. These include disorienting temporal freezes and intense battles that push their strength, courage, and unwavering resolve to their absolute limits.
